How Tuck a Mens Dress Shirt

By: Tony Cb. Jones

Men look great in a dress shirt. All men look great when they are all dressed up. Men look more sophisticated and professional and well put together when they are wearing a mens dress shirt. Taking a man seriously is simple if they are wearing a dress shirt. Obtaining a great job is much easier if the man applying is wearing a dress shirt compared to showing up in a pair of jeans that are baggy and an old t-shirt.

There are several different reasons that men should put on that dress shirt, but choose not to. One of the primary reasons is because they cannot figure out how to tuck them in. The bumpy, lumpy mess that is left is a definite deterrent to wearing the shirt. They often times leave the dress shirts hanging out for this very reason! This is a much worse look then the old t-shirt and the baggy jeans. Women are definitely turned off when a man looks so sloppy. That is why it is so important to learn how to effectively tuck in the mens dress shirt.

After you have decided on the mens dress shirt and pants that you will be wearing you should look again do they really match? Putting a bright purple shirt together with a pair of white pants is not a good look although it is not a typically pair that a man would choose. Put the shirt on and button the buttons up all the way, making sure that it is buttoned evenly and it lines up.

Next, unzip your pants and spread your legs a little. This will help have the pants hang off your hips. With the mens dress shirt lying flat against your chest, reach over and pull the shirt tail to the side and fold it in to make pleats. This will make the shirt lie flat against your torso.

After you have the pleats in place, pull your pants up carefully. Be sure that the pants are held tight to your waist as you pull up your pants. You should move your hands to the front of the pants and button the pants with the shirt tucked in.

The last step is to ensure that your buttons are lined up with your belt buckle and the zipper on the pants. When you purchase the mens dress shirt from a store you will have to use these steps to keep them looking nice. Tailored shirts are meant to fit you well and are much easier to tuck in and look great. Lumpy looking tailored shirts are unusual to find.

With a little practice, you should get the hang of tucking in your mens dress shirt. It may sound confusing at first, but you will get it in time. All you need to do is to keep practicing. Practice before a big date or interview. This way, you'll look good when the time arrives. You won't be fashionably late as well, unless you want to be.

With the right way to wear the right attire, you'll look good in no time. Everyone will take you seriously. You'll get jobs and the ladies.
